I will be going to the Texas Bandmasters Association convention in San Antonio this month for the first time. Im not exactly sure what all will be going on there and I would like to know what to look for from you guys that have been before. I do know that Boston Brass and Modern Jazz Tuba Project will be doing clinics and concerts, but I don't know about the exhibits. Will there be companies there that can work on my tuba (valve venting)?

I will also be going to the DCI Southwestern Championships that Saturday night!

I am thinking that it will be alot like TMEA but I was just wondering...

I don't know but I too will be there for both. I do believe that exhibits will be there much like TMEA. I remember Doc giving his thoughts on various tubas from last TBA so this leads me to believe that there will be some there. Maybe I'll see you there.

Just to let you guys who are going to TBA know, I spoke with someone at Marcinkiewicz (sp?) mouthpieces yesterday, and he told me that they are going to be in San Antonio with their whole setup, in case anyone's interested.

I can't go..........moving to Georgia, becoming a poor college student again.
