I actually still like Sleigh Ride and although I have not played it anywhere near as many times as some folks have played The Nutcracker, I have played it a lot.

Just another milestone for a tuba player.

Or "Slay Raid" as it will be called after the zombie apocalypse.

Playing Wade Rackley's arr tonight (2 euphs playing trumpet parts). It's one of the crowd's favorites.

Slay ride with a walking bass is kinda fun.
Don't forget to substitute the horse whinny at the end with an elephant trumpet!

Not here, either! Completely avoided it this time around. Heck, even none of the medleys quoted it! Banner year! :D

Instead of a horse whinny, it would sound like an angry, rogue elephant.

The "whip crack" sound could suggest cruelty to animals. Should this work be banned?

Oddly enough, that sound technically is known as a “trumpet”

The choir director (slapstick) and organist (jingle bells) got into the act yesterday.
No, but in the late 60s early 70s I had a collection of Odd Rods trading cards!! :tuba:
