More on the oldest surviving Conn Sousaphone!

Hi all,

I unearthed a bit more information on the oldest surviving Conn Sousaphone, which was built in early 1899.

Here's the link:

I'm still hoping that, one day, the very first Conn Sousaphone, built in late 1897 or very early 1898, will turn up. Let me know if it does!
Played an F. E. Olds 4-valve BBb in high school (late '70s)
Led the USC Trojan Marching Band tuba section (early '80s)
Now playing an F. Schmidt (=VMI) 3301 and goofing around
on a 1927 Pan American 64K Sousaphone Grand
