Check out Days of Wine and Roses too.
Bass trombone only at the intro and the denouement.
Deliciousness in between!!
We used to play these as well as others REALLY LOUD back in Kolig during keggers...
Pissed most people off but we won a few converts.

It was at the performing arts center downtown for the Medical College of Tennessee. My niece got a masters in medical lap technology. She is way smarter than the rest of the family.

bloke, I almost want a cimbasso now after seeing and hearing yours...
...but there's just something about F instruments. I can play E-flat, C, and B-flat, but F fingerings give me fits.

I play cimbasso (bass trombone parts) in the Depot Town Big Band (Ypsilanti, Michigan). We play at a local restaurant once a month. The horn always raises a few eyebrows!

Sweet recording Joe! Does anyone know who played on that? I remember reading on the contrabass compendium site they actually used a slide contra and not a bass trombone, at least on other tracks.
I was lucky enough to play bass trombone on a few orchestra+rock band numbers years ago in Indiana, hell of a good time!
