Roger Bobo/Hindemith Horn

Post by Z-Tuba Dude »

Does anyone know what horn Roger Bobo would have used in his recording of the Hindemith Sonata?

I recall hearing that it was a Mirafone 184 CC.

At one point in time I "knew" it was a 184, but I can't remember why I knew it.

Having worked it up on a 184 years ago, I can confirm it's a great horn for the piece. I was also in the room at one point when Maestro Bobo advocated playing it on a D tuba. His D tuba being a cut 184 would support that he had done it on a 184.
