There have been many Instruments in Jon´s stable, including horns by Meinl-Weston, B&S, and recently Yamaha. I have no idea whether or not the 3450 is based on ANY of these.
As to the 2011: Awesome Horns that Sound bigger than they look.
I got my 2011FA used from a guy who wanted something for small alpine-style ensembles in the beerfest Business. (Example: Innsbrucker Böhmische, Vierablech, Holstuonarmusigbigbandclub…) for which any 2011 appears to be a perfect match, mostly because of the funky Punch one can apply to ist tone color.
The previous owner told me he sold his because clients expected him to use rotary Instrument rather than front Action Piston, just because of Looks. Seems strange to me.
