I am interested in the 4/4 Hirsbrunner style instruments listed above or similar instruments. I have done as much research on here as I can find, but if I missed some I welcome links. I have only found very limited recordings of these instruments. If you have info on these please respond or PM me.
I live in western Canada, and struggle to get access to instruments. So to the people that say try before you buy, I would love to. I don't have access, and I can not afford to go to a trade show.
I have been researching 4/4 and/or 5/4 CC. I didn't not want to make one of those, suggest me an instrument posts. My budget is reasonable. I have tried the Miraphone 186 & 188, I have had an Alex 163 for a while, I used to have a Yamaha 861, I have a YCB 621 copy (for sale), as well as very briefly got to play a PT6(rotary). There is a Getzen G50 and Eastman 632 in town, but things haven't worked out for me to get to play them for more than 5 min. I have played most of the typical school BBb out there. Those are the instruments I have seen.
