My daughter just got an email this morning informing her that she was selected to participate in the National Youth Orchestra as one of their horn players. The orchestra is sponsored by Carnegie Hall in New York City, and membership is based on submitted audio/video auditions. After three weeks of rehearsals and a couple of local concerts this summer, they'll board a plane and head for Great Britain, The Netherlands, and Germany for a few weeks. The entire group and their trip is funded by donors to the Weill Music Institute, in connection with Carnegie Hall.
Wow!!! What an opportunity!!!
Is anyone on this site familiar with this group?

Re: National youth Orchestra
Indeed. I have a few colleagues from my youth symphony who have done it before, its an absolutely fantastic experience and not one to pass up. Once in a lifetime opportunity truly, I wish I auditioned for it when I had the chance. Congratulations also!paulver wrote:Is anyone on this site familiar with this group?
