Weekly etude videos

Post by williamp »

I started posting weekly videos of basic tuba etudes three weeks ago. The idea was to post one video a week with the hopes that it may help a student who is working on them. I grew up in a very rural area of northern Michigan and I think hearing someone play what I was studying would have been helpful. Plus, it's a great thing for me to revisit some of the etudes from earlier years. I'm beginning with the H. W. Tyrrell Advanced Etudes for Bb Bass, because they're still in print and I think it's a useful publication. I'll be rotating through my three BBbs, which include a Holton Mammoth helicon (1924), a Martin 6/4 tuba rebuilt by Martin Wilk, and a B&S GR55. I hope this is helpful to someone. Here's the latest post. You can view the others on my Youtube channel.

Thanks!
