My old Karl Ziess - what's it worth?

Post by LibraryMark »

So I've got this old Karl Ziess BBb that was my only horn for many years. It's old and a little beat up but it works well none the less. Since I have 3 three other tubas (never thought I would be saying that a few years ago) I have decided it's got to go. But I have no idea what fair price for it is these days.

If I was in the market to buy what looks like my Amati tuba, I'd give you $200 for it. If I was going to sell my Amati that looks about like that, I'd let it go to the first person who flashed me $2500 cash. It comes down to who is buying and who is selling.
Poor old tubist
Sad old tuba

I think the $1000 you started with is a reasonable starting point. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=91499" target="_blank

Yeah, I'd also say $1000. I'd prolly oil the rotors & linkage and wipe the horn down with Pledge.
