Helleberg Mouthpiece Identification
As the title says, I have a Helleberg tuba mouthpiece, and I can't find any marks identifying the size (found it as I was looking for all my tuba shtuff). All it has is "HELLEBERG" on the outside just under the lip. No gold or anything, just a regular silver tuba mouthpiece. Any ideas? If I remember right, I bought it somewhere around '96-'99 (I think).

Re: Helleberg Mouthpiece Identification
I guess the next question is: what is it good for (ad says "deep organ-like tone")? I'm trying to get my chops back and am playing on a Bach #30E in a Barrington (Chinese-ium) for now, but I used to play well on a Bach #24AW in my York Master (when I had range, flexibility, and intonation [so yes, a while ago
] ).

Re: Helleberg Mouthpiece Identification
It's the best tuba mouthpiece in the world. Look at descriptions of mouthpieces; does it try to win you over by saying it's like a Helleberg? You'll see that often, and I don't think you will at all often see any other mouthpiece flattered in this way. This is a Helleberg. With all the choices players have, what's the mouthpiece that more of them play than any other? This one.
I'm kind of fond of a couple other mouthpieces, myself. But .. they're like a Helleberg.
