Does anyone have listening recommendations for Major Tuba Works recorded on CC Tuba. Lots on F and Eflat material out there. I just wondered how many Artists took the plunge?

Sam Pilafian has recorded Eugene Anderson’s Tuba Concerto and his Lyritech. The concerto is a very long major work, in excess of 30 minutes if memory serves me correctly. Both pieces were on CC. Here’s the link to the discussion where they tell you how to buy the music.

I seem to recall an interview with Gene Pokorny that was done just prior to his performance of the RVW concerto on one of the CSO Yorks.

There are some terrific CC tuba recordings by Fritz Kaenzig and Phil Sinder.
Fritz Kaenzig:
- Hindemith Sonata on album "Sonatas for Brass Instruments and Piano" (Equilibrium label)
- Donald White Sonata and McFarland's "Sketches" on album "Mixed Doubles"
- Ewazen Concerto with University of Michigan Symphony Band on album "Collaborations" (Equilibrium label)

Philip Sinder:
- Broughton Sonata and Tcherepnin "Andante" on "Aerodynamics" (Mark Custom label)

Don't forget the "Tuba Helper" album by David Zerkel.

Not a "major" work, but I recorded "Statements" by Anthony Plog on CC: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxTOyElJvas

Thanks for the info. I will check it out. Enjoyed your rendition of the Plog.

Was the first Bobo album on 184 CC, or was part of it on F?
