Here is a link to an excellent interview with Gary. Part of Michael Grose's outstanding project on TubaPeopleTV, where he interviews former students of Arnold Jacobs.

Gary shares a few great stories, including one about his audition prep for Utah, and one about transposing Bydlo down a half step in another audition because he only had a CC tuba with him and thought a high G would be more secure than a high G#.

I've seen one of those movies, once (a couple of years ago).

Until then, I honestly thought the guy's name was Hans Solo.

Congrats on the retirement, Gary. He looks great for 68 y/o!
