Besson 995 versatility?

I've seen a Besson 995 CC in the exhibition of the WASBE Singapore. I've tried the tuba for 20 mins and thought that the intonation and the feel was fantastic. Unluckily, the sales don't allow me to play it loud (maybe because of those glass windows
)
I'm searching an inexpensive all-around CC for my friend. I think the Besson is good for solo and quintet, but I can't try out how loud it can sound. Anyone here played this horn in an orchestra? Can the tuba sound like a 5/4 like the PT6?
Also, what would you choose if you have a limited budget (like $8000) to buy a new 4/4 CC horn?
Thanks,
Arthur
