Looking for Parts: Debussy, Stravinsky, Scriabin

Post by lowtones425 »

Hey all,

I need some parts to get prepped for an upcoming concert...

Claude Debussy (arr. Altinoglu): Pelléas et Mélisande, suite de concert

Stravinsky Funeral Song

Scriabin Poem of Ecstasy

If you happen to have PDFs of any of these, please drop me a note...

Thanks in advance!

I don't think even the Scriabin has a particularly challenging part. If you don't get your parts ahead of time, I would just listen to each work online - get the sound of them in your head. That way, you don't have to desperately cling to counting rests. When you get your part, it won't look alien. Good luck.

In all seriousness, I listen to works as though they were hit tunes that get played on the radio every day. Some say that's cheating, but I think desperately clinging to rests is idiotic.

if they are not still subject to copyright, you might find them in the Petrucci music library

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Poem of Ecstasy is on there (listed as Symphony No. 4) and is in public domain. I was unable to find the Debussy or Stravinsky.
