Digital Recorders

Good morning folks!
My daughter is going to need a digital recorder for school. (Eastman) I know this topic has been discussed on here several times, but I really don't want to go searching through all of the old threads in order to get the info. Can someone, once again, suggest a few good portable digital recorders, so I can get one for her. I've been out of the electronic loop for several years, and I would appreciate some educated opinions on this. Obviously, it needs to be of good quality, small, easily operated, and have the ability to plug into a larger playback system. AND......... I'm looking for one that doesn't eat batteries like they are candy!!!

Thanks, in advance!

P.

Zoom H2n will do what most people need. Good mics, not bad on batteries, but it’s limited to the built in microphones so it isn’t as flexible as H4 or H6 but I don’t think the average user needs the added flexibility or cost.

Hope it helps,

If you're willing to drop a little extra money the Zoom Q4 or Q8 are both great mics with cameras attached.
Easier for places that require video auditions, but you can always record video on your phone and sync it up with an external mic, this is just easier.
