Im a high school student and going into the market for an f tuba. I already have a 4/4 bmb cc tuba and I have a question. Im looking at the Wessex berg, Wessex Linz and bmb f tuba does anyone know the pros and cons of these three tubas and could possibly help me making a choice. Im mainly looking for info and pros and cons about these tubas .
Anyone help?

I liked the Wessex berg and I also know a Wessex piston horn is soon on the market.

Living more than 800 miles from this locale, I have no idea what sort of mechanical/structural condition this instrument is in - and I see a couple of things that (were I to use it myself) I would alter...but this might (??) be worthy of pursuit:

If this is the horn I think it is, it was completely taken apart, deburred at every joint and put back together perfectly. I had the same horn model in college and it did not come close to comparing to this horn. Consequently, I never played it and sold it.

Play all three models (and some more) and make a decision. Depending on where you go to school, they might have an F tuba or two that they give to tuba majors. Check with your future professor before buying anything.
