Jupiter Tubas

I know there's a few topics regarding various factions of Jupiter brand tubas, but this in particular is regarding valves. Does anyone know what year they switched over to Stainless Steel valves, was it right around 1999 when they also renumbered their horns with a new serial number format (AXXXXX-1999 year model......BXXXXX-2000 year model etc)?
