Would it be a big deal to replace an American shank receiver with the original British size on an older Imperial Eb?

So, the YBB 321 receiver would be comparable to the original small shank that came on the Imperial E-flat?

Well, no. It is actually very easy. But with the wide choices of Wick (no letter) English shank mouthpieces, and the ability to order the "S" Perantucci shank, and that everything else can be ordered with a smaller shank for either less or at least the comparable cost of the mouthpiece plus the order charge, compared to the cost of replacing the receiver, why would you? These tubas work great with a Wick 3 or a dime-a-dozen 24AW that is easy to modify the shank.

Ah, I think I see the issue. Im looking at getting an older Imperial Eb that already has a larger replacement receiver. I am looking to revert back to the original set up. I have a whole set of small shank mouthpieces ready to go!!

Oops. I misread it also. Thanks for switching it back to original. I'm sure bloke has one for you.
