Tuba to rent in NYC

Hi guys, I am writing this post on behalf of a friend. He is going to have a concert with his brass quintet in New York City between 20th and 30th of October. He is thinking about renting a tuba from somebody for three days, and not the whole day, just for couple of hours a day so they can have 2 rehearsals and the concert itself. His tuba will add more expenses to the plane ticket,so he is trying to find what's more economical(cheaper :)). If somebody have any offer or any idea, please write me email or private message here.
Cheers!

What tuba are they playing on now? If they are looking for a pro-level tuba to borrow/rent for a few days in NYC, might be best to see if someone knows an artist in NYC with loaner tubas.

Hi guys, sorry for not replaying,I was busy. So he told me that he'll need the tuba for 24th and 25th of October. The key should be Cc and he is not picky so any decent tuba will do the job, even though the smaller the better.
Thank you for your info.

I think the suggestion that you call Dillon Music is a good one. They have a stock of used CC tubas and might be willing to rent one for a few days. Dillon Music is listed in the "Sponsors" and "Shops" links at the very top of this page.

Maybe call Sam Ash in NYC? I always got the impression that they rented instruments to gig musicians with varying needs. Tubas...? Not sure.

Hey guys, I gave all the suggestions to my friend but in the end he decided to bring his tuba. Partly because of the expense and partly because he is going to try ajd sell it, for the time he will be in NYC(that's a different post he asked me to post in the Marketplace section) . Thank you all for your suggestions and advices.
Cheers
