Battery Adapters for Zoom Recorders

Hello,

I've noticed that some people use battery adapters for their zoom recorders because regular batteries tend to run out of juice quickly. Is there a certain adapter that people normally buy, or will any adapter do the job? I have a Zoom H4N if it helps. Thanks!

I believe they are using big "power bricks" through the USB port of the H4N. These are the same big ones you see people using to power Ipads and other large devices. Here are some videos on using power bricks with the H4N.

I have a Zoom AD-14 AC Power Supply Adapter, I got it at the same time as my H4N not sure now if it came with the unit or if I bought it as an optional accessory. I did a search and it is available from Amazon for around $19.00. It's designed to work with the Unit so will be guaranteed to be the right Voltage and wattage required.

If all else fails bring your laptop, plug your Zoom into the USB port. Kind of weird how it turns on without touching the switch, at least mine does.

In the house I power mine that way most of the time. Traveling I use batteries.
