"Interesting" in the same way that chocolate-covered oysters are "interesting"?Daryl Fletcher wrote:I played the one the one they had at Dillon's a few years ago. I would also describe the intonation as "interesting", although other than that I thought it had a really great sound.imperialbari wrote: The intonation was considered "interesting", so the 985 never hit the production line.

That might be a good description of it. Or maybe, it's "interesting" in the same way that the duck thread is.Chuck(G) wrote:"Interesting" in the same way that chocolate-covered oysters are "interesting"?
The shame is that, other than the wacky intonation, there were a lot of things to like about this tuba. I thought the tone was just gorgeous. If Besson ever figured out how to make it play reasonably well in tune and then put them in to regular production, I would really want one of these, but somehow I don't see that happening.

Intonation
I guess it's hard to justify a compensating F tuba if the biggest problem with the tuba is intonation.
