Angry/Sad Concertos

Hey y'all, I've noticed that most tuba concertos tend to have a happier and lighthearted sound. I am wondering if there are any major concertos for tuba that are on the gloomier side or angry in nature. With the low tessitura of the tuba, I feel like a concerto with a darker theme on contrabass tuba would be very fun and interesting. Also, feel free to give your opinion on how you feel about the mood of concertos. Thanks!

Barbara York’s Concerto “War and Rumors of War” certainly has some dark undertones and a blues section. Not particularly low tessitura, though.

Jess Turner's concerto for tuba "Heavy Weather" is beautiful and sometimes angry/powerful, not exactly upbeat. The tessitura is high at times.

I have no idea how facebook URLs work on this forum, but here is a recording I did with the Coast Guard Band a few years ago.

The 2nd movement especially.
Composer?
Plau, maybe autocorrect failure?

Probably was the Plau. From the description:
The grief-ridden middle movement was composed in memory of the composer’s wife, who had just passed away.

Honestly, I'm just curious if there are any dark mood "concertos" with band or orchestra accompaniment. Not specifically a three-movement concerto, but something in that style, with separate themes and movements.
