Identification of old VMI tuba

I purchased the tuba mentioned in another thread from the seller. viewtopic.php?f=3&t=88700" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank

It’s definitely not a 101/186 stencil, it’s way too small. The bell is approximately 14 inches, 36 inches tall. It plays really well for being a small horn, but I haven’t been able to locate what model it is. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

The valves are clangy for sure, I think I might take it to the shop for some service, but we’ll see. The fourth valve slide is very big and distinctive so maybe that will provide a clue?

I forget the #, if it wasn't in my catalog. With that size, likely the entry level student model. Still a well made horn!

Thanks Bort, no luck with the catalog. It’s possible this particular model predated that catalog.
