Except... that's Abalone shell, not mother of pearl. Just a minor thing though. Looks great.

I was being somewhat facetious, but somehow it didn't come off that way. It's a wonderful tuba.
Mother of Pearl and Abalone shell are the two most popular substances used for Guitar inlays and purfling. Technically they are both made of Nacre, however Mother of Pearl is usually very uniform and white looking, while abalone shell is full of dark striations and has a more greenish tone.

Well, it depends on whether you have dot inlays, block inlays, crown inlays, "victory" inlays etc. There are some who swear by NO inlays on the fretboard. I have a few custom ordered Carvin Basses, and used to be a big fan when I was in my "buying" stage. Their entire business model is based on upselling BLING, and they do it VERY well.
Sadly there is little chance to bling out a Trombone, but lately brands like Edwards, M&W, and others have been offering fancy custom valve thumb pieces. Also the custom guys have been working a lot more with bell finishes like satin/etc under lacquer.
But yes, I also think that if a tuba is WORTH IT, there is nothing wrong with pimping it out.

A tuba with a .905 bore sounds like it would literally take your breath away.
I bet it's impossible to overblow, because nobody could give the amount of air needed to overblow it.
