illegitimate EEb

OK, here's my illegitimate child. I only bought this because it needed a home at the moment.
Actually, this was in a unique trophy shop downtown for years - owned by a collector of sorts. Always a fun shop to look around in as the owner has a very eclectic mix of oddball stuff including some nice miniature cannons which is what caught my eye - the tuba just happened to be in the way so I bought it.

Beuscher 3 valve recording bass 1915 silver plate. It needs a little TLC but an easy project horn. It could be a nice little jazz horn for someone that's into EEb tubas.

I am taking it to my local guy in a few days to just do the needed - get slides moving & clean valves and straighten out some damage around the receiver.

If someone is looking for something like this let me know as I could let it go before I spend too much on something I will not keep.
Happy holidays! Tim Jackson

The male tenon diameter is 6 inches at the bell joint. Only parts missing are 2 bell screws & mounts. 19-inch bell. Top of the upper bow to the bottom of the lower bow 29 inches. The 3rd valve button looks slightly different. I'm thinking this is the 728 bore found on other Beuschers of this vintage. I can't tell as the slides are all stuck. A short 3/4 sleeve has been added to each end of the lead pipe. The horn resonates nicely even with a %50 closed/bent lead pipe at the receiver. As is - $500 plus shipping. $450 if you pick up. TJ
