Hi all,

I've been slowly working my way through the Sousa Band Press Books (now available online), and found Sousa himself, in 1919, talking about the first Sousaphone, as well as his star bass player, John Kuhn.

Here's the link to the post: https://tubapastor.blogspot.com/2019/12 ... -1919.html

Enjoy!
Dave

Thanks for sharing this. John Kuhn has been a huge inspiration for me. He's one of the only ones that immediately comes to mind when I think of notable Native American tuba players, can anyone think of any others? If so, I'd love to do some research.
