Mack Brass attending the Army Conference

Post by MackBrass »

For those interested, Mack Brass will have a pretty large booth this year at the Army Tuba Euphonium Conference in Washington DC this year. Come and join us as we will have several of the the Thunderbird 6/4 CC tubas to play and choose from as well as a large selection of new and used tubas. We will also have some new York piston style designs and a new F that will be on a whole new level where this will be their true debut for the world to see and play. Come and Join Chris Lair and myself with our good friends John Cradler and Scott Cameron for a fantastic conference in Washington DC on Feb 7th and 8th.

I’d love to try some small bbb- including the rotary valve one. I hope you’re bringing them.

For those of us who won't be there, can you elaborate on this new F tuba you mentioned? If you prefer to wait until after the conference so as not to spoil the debut, that's understood.

Thanks!

We actually have three new models we are working on. Two new models should be at the show as one is being shipped by air as we speak and the other is on the ground. Clearing customs is what we will be hoping to make happen so they can be there.

One of the horns we will be showing is a new 4/4+ piston CC that I think is the best CC I have ever played. Bore will be .757 for the first 3 valves, .797 for the 4th and a .867 for the 5th. This has taken almost 2 years to get it just right.

On a related yet unrelated topic, am I the only person that cannot see specific horns on the Mack Brass website? I can get to the home page, the demo page and the used instrument page and that is all. If I tap on any of the instrument tabs nothing happens.

It works on a PC but not on a tablet.

Works on my iPad using Microsoft Edge, Chrome, Firefox browsers. Did NOT work with Safari, the native iPad browser, or the Google search app.

Frankly, I know absolutely nothing about Android system browsers.

If your having an issue viewing it on your phone or tablet, scroll to the very bottom and hit classic view. In classic view you should see all the instruments and their models will appear at the top in a drop down. Let me know if you have any issues with that.

Tom, I don't see the words "classic view" anywhere on the screen in Safari. What web browser are you using?

I do use safari on my iPad so that explains it. I’ll have to remedy that. Thanks
