Another DIY version of the Tubabelt (Wilfried Brandstötter)

I have long been envious of Wilfried Brandstötter's Tubabelt/Tubagurt, but think the price is very high for the original version.
I have now produced my own cheap version, which is still under development.
Materials:
1 Makita Tool Belt - Purchased on offer from English Amazon for $36 incl. shipping.
1 flat hook $1.75
1 bolt with locking nut
1 strip of self-vulcanizing tape (to rubber cushion the hook so it does not scratch the tuba)
That means expenses for a maximum of $38!
It works perfectly, although I still have to develop some kind of padded support plate/backing behind the hook partly to distribute/relieve the pressure against the lower belly and partly to prevent the hook from bending inwards, as you can see in the picture, that it does right now.
Good ideas for further development are welcomed!
