Just moved back to Chicago. I have been hunting around the internet looking for community ensembles, but haven't had much luck finding any groups with vacancies. Looking at orchestras and wind ensembles/concert bands.
I was wondering if anybody who plays in the area knew of any groups looking for tuba.
Thanks for reading!

Rogers Park. North side Chicago. Hopefully there is something within an hour's drive.
Thanks!

I use to play with the Glenview Concert Band before I moved further out to Crystal Lake. Check out their site
http://www.glenviewband.org/. Last I heard they were looking for Tuba players.
Hope this helps.

Although the post to which I'm referring you is a year and a half old,
Buffalo Grove Symphonic Band is definitely looking for a tuba player.
Please say hi to Howard Green, the conductor, for me.
Good luck,
Steve Marcus
