To prevent the shank freezing again, use anti-seize. Use a food safe anti-seize compatible with stainless steel.

I use big ole fat rubber bands like the ones that come on broccoli. One a few times around the cup and one a few times around the shank to get a good grip while twisting. Sometimes this does the trick to get the right leverage on the deal.

Like many of us I grew up with Popeye, Wimpy, Olive Oyl and Brutus. Some are strong, wimpy, awkwardly cute, and bullyish. What a great social commentary from back in the day
