Need help with a gig bag
The miraphone bag I ordered that was supposed to fit large sized tubas like the hagen, it kind of fits but once you get to closing the bag the bell sits a bit higher than expected in the bag and as a result is a tight fit which would result in scratches and maybe small dents just from the pressure of the closed bag on the bell. I think the information that miraphone puts for their gig bags is misleading as it states that it fits tubas of <500 mm and the diameter of the bell is 450 mm which you'd think that it would fit comfortably right....wrong. I need to know if anyone is using a gig bag for their 496 or 497 and if so what brand as i need to find a different bag now.

Mine didnt come with a bag, just the horn itself as it was sold by one of its retailers. I do think I ordered the wrong size although I thought that was the right size. I exchanged that bag for a protec deluxe. Oh well.
