Received my new Cronkite leather gig bag for my besson 981 ee flat in the mail today.It is a thing of beauty.Is it necessary to put any kind of leather protection on the outside of the bag?I have been a professional automotive detailer for well over 30 years and have a number of products at my shop that I could use.Thoughts?

I have used Meguiar's and Mother's Leather treatment for car seats on my Cronkhite bags and it has worked very well to keep the leather clean and also from drying out. It does not take much and once a month should keep that beautiful bag looking great!

It's leather, so treat it like leather. I would think the products for leather seats would work just fine.
