For those of you who’ve performed this, between the 2 horns in my signature, what are your thoughts? I don’t have access to a cimbasso

I would choose F out of your two choices.

I have played it on my E flat, and feel that it is "bass tuba piece" - also probably written for an F instrument initally. I would suggest that you use the F tuba.

Yamaha would be my choice--it has the ability to go trombone-like while a 6/4 does not.

I would agree about the F tuba. I believe the lowest note is a C2 (maybe B2?). Originally played on ophicleide/cimbasso/whatever....
