Been working on a new idea for a separate series of videos on my YouTube channel. I hope you find them helpful. Here's episode #1:

Best regards as always,
Interesting. I will give one of those a try. (There is a special treat for those who watch until the end.)

I've got a few of those. I know many that swear by them. I'll have to watch the video and maybe think about putting them back on my horns.

Chris, it´s a great video! I have the first version of the BERP from over 30 years ago and I never liked it so much mainly because of the totally unnatural angle it created. I now realize that the new ones are quite different and I can see it being very helpful because of the the better angle and being able to adjust the resistance. I just tried to purchase one and I don´t think they have their system set up yet for the discount. I could not get it to work. Again, thank you for the video and all of your hard working sharing such valuable knowledge. Regards

I’ve never seen the point of using one if I have access to a real, functioning tuba.
I mean, if I have a real girlfriend, why would I practice on an inflatable one??

I remember years ago, early 90s. I was in junior school, and the teacher we had was a trumpet player named Barry Browner, who played with a group named Solid Brass. He brought in one of his trumpet player friends, and he was the first one who introduced buzzing to us. He used it whenever he had trouble with a note. He found that if he couldn't hit it solidly, playing that note without the horn attached definitely helped. It worked for us to.
To this day I still do that. I also do some mouthpiece buzzing for a warmup. It really helped me to develop and learn to shape my embouchure.

Went there?? Yeah, that’s what I do!!
But the whole point is to make the buzz sound good in the horn, so buzz it in the horn until it does sound good...

If her Daddy’s rich, take her out for meal.
If her Daddy’s poor, just do what you feel!!
