Sam Pilafian
A year ago yesterday Sam died. He was a wonderful person and very giving of himself. He always had time for people. If you never got to know him that is sad. He was an incredible player and musician and was comfortable in any style. If you haven't heard him play there are many recordings out there. As tuba players we all owe him a great debt. Sam you are missed by many. Phil

That was a year ago already? Wow, time sure does fly. I hope Mr. Pilafian's family is doing ok in his absence.
