I dented my tuba....

Post by breannalynnplaystuba »

Alright, so funny story. Person A was given a school contra to use from person B and then person a somehow manages to dent said contra. Person A doesn't wanna tell person B though because person A is scared that they will get in trouble so person A decides to ask around and get feedback on how much this dent repair is going to cost. so yea. thankssssssssssss

If it's a school instrument, I'd just bite the bullet and admit it. Not sure how much repairs cost on Jupiter.

Bloke speaks the truth, and he is a master at this stuff:

I would think an hour (or two) of shop time would do it.

BTW, the tuba in question wouldn't happen to be the same one you're wearing on your head in your avatar? :tuba:

Assuming a 99% good" job is good enough for that thing, "the last 1%" is the part that would take it way over an hour.
Yes--probably enough to restore the instrument to good enough condition to satisfy the school that owns it. But certainly not enough to allow Person B to hide the fact that he damaged the instrument.

I see - I just thought that might have been how your horn got dented in the first place.

All kidding aside, yes, come clean and tell the truth.

I need a good picture of beer. That will be simple to roll out in very short order even by someone who is part idiot, BUT there will always be evidence it was there. Oh well.....I picked up my brand new euph by the tuning slide two days after I got it. Repair guy felt so bad he did it for free, and it took him just a few minutes.
