Am I good enough for it to even matter?

How much would it hurt my playing if I use one mouthpiece for marching band and another for my primary playing. I would rather use my Helleburg over my PT-50 because of the effects that marching band has on mouthpieces.
Would it slow the progress of my tuba major by much?...or at all?
Thank you,
Clay

Shouldn't hurt you at all as long as you play by "sound" and not by "feel". Listen to this Arnold Jacobs clip Sean has posted in the Tips section. Here's the link:

What are the effects that marching band has on mouthpieces? Maybe I was lucky, but I never had any issues.
Also, sometimes different mouthpieces work better for different people on different horns. If it were me, I'd just try 'em all and see what I liked the best.
