When I want to respond to a post, how do I grab only the relevant portion of that post so that it is in the yellow box?

You could "cut and paste" only the portion of the text you want to quote, and type the following before and after the text:

[quote="name"][/quote]

Or, you could use the "quote" button, found in a box above the writing box and put your cut and paste inbetween.



Is that easier than quoting a whole post, and deleting the parts you don't wish to quote? Definitely, if it's a long post and you only want to use a small fraction of it.
