Seeing this happen would be awesome.

I reckon 40K dimensions are going to get you a 36J, or less. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I'm not saying a 46K is that big, either - no idea, it could be, I'm just a little skeptical. Evolutionary dead end.

Hey, Brian.
There's been a jumbo Conn at Hornucopia in San Carlos for years.
They've always been friendly when I came in. I'm guessing they'd let you take some measurements.
I've got a 38K and a 40K but I'm guessing that's not what you're looking for, as Lost pointed out.

When I saw the title I immediately thought of this: http://www.bassethoundmusic.com/fluba.html

I don't have and (I think) don't really want one. But I absolutely want to see one and have the opportunity to honk a few notes on it.

I have on several occasions played a Rudolf Meinl 6/4 Bb tuba. If ever there was a rotary-style instrument to match the picture of the jumbo Conn (and 46K), that's it.

The miracle of it is not that it's easy to play, but that it's playable at all. But I have to confess that playing the thing fills one with a certain longing.
