Virtual Performance

Well, our ragtime orchestra had our first performance, since the stay at home mandate. I was curious to see how it would come out. Definitely not the same, but it feels good to be collaborating with these folks again. We've also begun hosting weekly live stream concerts to offer some of our musicians some much needed revenue. With the combination of a modest stipend from our orchestra and online tip jars, those participating have done well.

I'd love to see your "virtual" ensemble projects, too.

Here's ours:

The precision and sound are remarkable.

I was only disappointed by the lack of dancing girls.

When I hear your ensemble I always expect to see Larry Fine playing the violin, the toupee at the end of his bow, then he exclaims “a tarantula”

I really like your arrangements.

Thanks. Almost all of what we play are from stock theater orchestra arrangements from the turn of the twentieth century. It's another thing besides tubas to collect.

My (high school) son was working on a sextet, and I'm curious as to how the assemblage happens. What software are you using to create the final merge?

We hired the project out. We used the Arts Laureate group with goes by virtualchoir.net on social media, I believe.
