Earl Willard Field, Sousaphone Star!

Post by Dave Detwiler »

Hi all,

I just posted on my blog about one of the lesser-known Sousaphone stars of the Sousa era. He had this gorgeous horn custom built for him by Conn in 1924:

To learn more about him, and the mysterious woman on the bell, here's the link to the post: http://tubapastor.blogspot.com/2020/08/ ... story.html

Enjoy!
Dave

This is a great and very informative thread. Keep up the great work as you sleuth through Sousa's tuba section!
