Actually none of the above.

I polish my horn when it begins to look disgusting. Even then, it's usually only a little bit of Windex and a soft cloth to wipe of the slobber stains.

OTOH, I'm pretty attentive to corks and felts, since that actually makes a difference in the way a horn plays.

I wipe off all fingerprints after each use of my silver Besson euph with a silver polishing cloth, while wearing white cotton gloves!
During rehearsal, I keep a silver polishing cloth in my lap and try to catch the fingerprints as they occur.


Yes, I'm an obsessive compulsive clean freak!! :lol:
