Clearly a joke topic.
I made a vote anyway, but I doubt this thread should be taken seriously

Well, just check out tubaboy´s other posts and you´ll figure out the idea behind them. They all follow these lines.
Actually, why practise at all ? Practice is for people with small d**ks. Just go and perform public sightreading like a real man / woman.
Then again, I like small ducks. When grilled, they are more tender and taste better than the old, grown-up ones.

You are too good to bother with a teacher, private or otherwise. Stop doing those etudes and stop wasting your money on a teacher.

Boy! We have so many "gifted" musicians in Texas! He gets added to the list of "special" tuba players on this board.

Etude, don't make it bad
Take a sad song and make it better
Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better

Main Entry: étude
Pronunciation: 'A-"tüd, -"tyüd
Function: noun
Etymology: French, literally, study, from Middle French estude, estudie, from Old French -- more at STUDY
2 : a composition built on a technical motive but played for its artistic value
Now why would anyone play something just for its artistic value?

Yet another future freshman flunk out. You have no idea. Start posting topics when you are actually old enough to drink like a tuba player, and by then maybe you will realize that the stuff your teacher has you do is for a reason

Aw, we ought to leave him alone: he has the world by the b*lls for a couple years until he tries to make it in college (with a "world-class sound" can he miss?). Let him live in bliss. Reminds me of a favorite quotation:
"Where ignorance is bliss, 'tis folly to be wise".
