Hi,
a colleague ask me about a copy of a 4/4 Hirsbrunner HBS 290 CC Tuba. Is there one in the market?
I really don't know...
Greetings

I don't think there is one. There are copies of the 4/4 Hirsbrunner HBS 392 (HB-21) CC tuba from Adams and John Packer. Both manufacturers claim they are improved from the original design so, I guess they aren't exact copies.

Adams makes a 290 (HB2). I'm not sure of Adams model number. I played one at ITEC and I thought it was very good.

$18,685 USD for a yellow-brass, 0.70", silver-plated 5 rotary valve CC tuba.
Would love to try one alongside my HB2.

I'm glad to see them reintroducing this model. I've always had a soft spot for the old HB rotary tubas.
