Ruined lacquer? Please help

Post by jakewillis »

Hi everyone. I have Wessex Prague compact horn and I was doing some long overdue work on my slides. Somehow an unseen drop of Brasso ended up on my horn. Is there anything that can be done to mitigate the damage? Is my lacquer shot?

Did it eat through the lacquer, or just discolor it? You can always touch up lacquer. It won't be a seamless repair, but it can be done relatively economically.

I can’t honestly tell if it ate all the way through.
