I have a student who just won a concerto competition where I teach and I need to find out how much it will cost to rent the score and parts and where to get them.
Any help is appreciated.

I believe this can only be rented through a small company in france called Larghetto music. It may cost around 1,000 dollars.

I had a student enter a concerto competition an few years ago. He was playing the Cosma. His entry was rejected because it was cost prohibitive to rent the score and parts. I don't remember the cost but it was stupid expensive.

Wow, there really is not much out there on the company. Good luck getting in touch with them. Their official name seems to be L.A.M Larghetto Music in Amsterdam.
Taking this challenge will be extremely rewarding and the only caveat involves the cost of the large ensemble rental parts (more than $400) and the piano reduction. The publisher has chosen to make these choices and they greatly hinder the wide spread of this fantastic work.

So this piece is a bit of an enigma -- apparently different publishers represent this piece in different countries. Larghetto Music was the first. Edition Robert Martin also has a version.
When I owned/ran Just For Brass we stocked first the Larghetto Music version (which was ok but the company was HORRIBLE to deal with). We then moved to the ERM version, which is the same music -- and we were able to shave a few dollars off the sales price.
ERM has WB parts for hire, you just need to contact them:

There is info on this page and they are (used) to be absolutely fine with communication and shipping.
Hope this helps,
