Hi folks, came across a sousaphone on Facebook Marketplace with bell etching that reads "LA Pacific, Portland, Ore, USA" on it. Not sure if someone engraved over the original maker, or if this is truly a brand I have never heard of. Any ideas out there? I have uploaded two pictures. Thank you so much!

I never heard of it either but a little research turned up this:
At one time Goodwill had a La Pacific trumpet listed, in the Portland area.

So it wasn't just the sousaphone- there were others. good find Doug. I live in the Portland area and I have never heard of such a maker. The mystery continues!

I think it's a Conn stencil, both in looks and from this link with details of saxophone stencil brands names (scroll down and you'll find it).

Interesting - I did not know about this stencil of Conn's. I was thinking that maybe it was a owner's engraving. "LA PACIFIC" was part of the Southern Pacific Railroad conglomerate and they had a presence in Portland, Oregon. I was thinking that maybe it was part of the SP's local band? Thanks daktx2!

The vintage saxophone web sites, including this one, list "LA Pacific" as a Conn stencil:
