Hard Case for B&S PT-15

Post by Triggerfish »

Does anyone know what hard cases fit this tuba? In particular, any experiences with SKB and MTS cases?

Others may have better information, but the dimensions of the PT-15/PT-10 don’t really fit any MTS or SKB case. I wound up getting a Kariso case for mine - a truly beautiful case. Not for jet travel, but for an everyday safe storage and transport, it rocks. I believe Jacob Winter makes a case that fits, but I cannot recall the model number.

Not sure if you can buy cases from Eastman but I got a hard case with my Eastman PT-15 copy (EBF864). It fits the horn well and seems durable. It has wheels and a small pocket for goodies.

I have a JBL Classic F tuba and it fits perfectly in the Miraphone 181 hard case. The PT 10 and 15 would also fit in this case. Mine has been flown to Australia and back with no damage to the horn or case. A bit expensive but well worth it IMHO.
