We are in a big "Russian" mode this Fall
(Brahms 4 & some Haydn in the mix along the way though)

September 2nd (tonight) is the last of our Summer park concerts: Doing Glier's Russian Sailor Dance as part of a program with Ippolitov-Ivanov's Caucasian Sketches. I am covering the Bass Trombone parts on "In the Mountain Pass" and "Procession of the Sadar"

October: Rimsky-Korsakov - Capriccio Espagñol
December: Tchaikovsky - March Slave

My orchestras going to play: The Moldau by Smetana, "Berceuse and Finale" from the Firebird by Stravinsky, "Night on Bald Mountain" by Mussorgsky and Hovhaness Second Symphony "The Mysterious Mountain"
